Tehran: Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, Mohammad Baqer Zolqadr, has announced that Iranians are calling for resistance and revenge during the farewell and funeral ceremony for the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Zolqadr issued a message on Sunday urging the world to pay attention to Iran in the forthcoming days. He emphasized that the strength and resolve of the nation had been underestimated, stating, "This is the very Iran you thought you could bring to its knees in just a matter of days!"

Zolqadr highlighted the overwhelming turnout of people who gathered to pay their respects to the former Leader. The crowd, he noted, was united in their chants of resistance against perceived enemies and a call for retribution for the assassination of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

The former Leader was killed in a US-Israeli airstrike on February 28, an act which Iran has condemned as a terrorist attack during the second war of aggression launched by the two countries against Iran. The conflict lasted 40 days, and Iran has vowed to seek revenge for what it describes as a criminal act.
