Tabriz:Mohammad Jafar Ghaempanah, Iran's vice president for executive affairs, emphasized that any negotiations involving Iran necessitate the approval of the Supreme National Security Council and final authorization from the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyid Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, during a meeting with intellectuals and political, social, and cultural activists in Tabriz, Ghaempanah dismissed the notion of choosing between war and negotiations. He stressed that such decisions must be made by the Supreme National Security Council, with the ultimate decision resting with the Leader.
Ghaempanah noted that while some factions advocate for continued conflict and rejection of negotiations, and others suggest unconditional surrender, neither of these extremes align with the leadership's stance. Instead, he emphasized that decisions should be driven by the preservation of Iran's dignity and national interests.
He further stated that Iran would be prepared to launch missile strikes if ordered by the Leader or engage in negotiations should the Leader consider them appropriate.
