Tehran: Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian has expressed gratitude to Turkmenistan's National Leader for attending the farewell ceremony for the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei. In a message posted early Thursday on X, President Pezeshkian addressed Turkmenistan's National Leader, saying he was 'sincerely grateful' for the presence of his esteemed brother, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, and for his heartfelt solidarity with the people of Iran.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Pezeshkian highlighted that this companionship will not be forgotten, emphasizing the strong ties between both nations. He reiterated that, as the martyred Leader had emphasized, 'Relations between Iran and Turkmenistan go beyond neighborhood; they are kinship relations.'
