Tehran: Iranian taekwondo athletes continued strong performance at the Pakistan President's Cup, securing one gold, one silver, and one bronze in the Kyorugi competitions.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, in the men's -63kg category, Mehdi Haji Mousaei defeated all his opponents to claim the gold medal and the weight class title. In the women's -53kg category, Shaparak Najafi won three consecutive bouts and won the silver medal in the final. Saghar Moradi, another Iranian athlete, also earned a bronze medal in the women's -67kg category.

On the first day of the competition, Iranian athletes had already won five gold and three bronze medals. The tournament will continue on Thursday, Aug. 20, with the remaining three men's and three women's weight categories.
