Accra:Mohammad Mokhber, an advisor and assistant to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, has stated that the financial burden of the ongoing war has left Iran's adversaries in a state of desperation. He also mentioned that U.S. President Donald Trump's popularity has reached an unprecedented low.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Mokhber addressed a meeting on Monday, asserting that the United States, along with its European and NATO allies, participated in recent conflicts against Iran. They initially believed the conflict would conclude in three to four days but have failed to achieve even 10 percent of their objectives.
Mokhber highlighted the significance of Iran's resistance, considering it a substantial achievement against the backdrop of U.S. military, economic, and political power. He cautioned that any renewed conflict could escalate into a broader regional war.
He further noted that Iran's deterrence capabilities have effectively prevented the U.S. and Israel from fully utilizing their military strengths. Iran's missile and drone capabilities have been pivotal in this deterrence. Mokhber reiterated that the cost of the war has severely impacted Iran's adversaries, with 70 percent of Americans opposing the conflict and President Trump's popularity diminishing significantly.
