Tehran:China's ambassador to Tehran has emphasized that Beijing's policy towards Iran remains consistent and stable, reaffirming China's commitment to strengthening comprehensive ties. This message was delivered during the international conference titled "Half a Century of Iran-China Diplomatic Relations."

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Ambassador Cong Peiwu highlighted the continuity of Beijing's approach towards Tehran, underscoring China's readiness to enhance bilateral relations through improved communication. He noted that over the past 55 years, the relationship between China and Iran has withstood various international challenges, maintaining a constructive path of development.

Cong Peiwu also elaborated on the mutual support between the two nations concerning their fundamental interests and significant concerns. He pointed out the active cooperation in economic, commercial, cultural, and humanitarian sectors between China and Iran.

Both countries, as developing nations and part of the Global South, are members of international organizations such as the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and BRICS. They aim to promote a more equitable and rational international order, According to ambassador.

Addressing broader regional issues, Cong mentioned China's initiatives for peace and security in the Middle East, introduced by President Xi Jinping. The conference, held at the University of Tehran, was organized by the university's Center for Graduate International Studies. It featured a video address from Iran's ambassador to China and presentations by experts focusing on China and East Asia.
