Bandar Abbas:Iran's Army air defense force has successfully shot down a US Lucas drone over the southern port city of Bandar Abbas. The drone was intercepted and destroyed on Sunday by the country's integrated air defense systems.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the Army confirmed the drone's destruction, highlighting it as part of Iran's ongoing defense operations. The military has stated that it has assessed its enemy's capabilities and is equipped for asymmetric warfare.

This incident is the latest in a series of similar interceptions near the Strait of Hormuz, underscoring ongoing tensions in the region. The history of conflict includes two wars launched by the US and the Israeli regime against Iran, with the first occurring in June 2025 for 12 days, and the second beginning on February 28, 2026, lasting 40 days until early April.
