Sana'a:Yemen's armed forces announced that they carried out three military operations targeting Saudi Arabia in response to alleged massacres committed by Saudi forces and their allies in Sana'a and southwestern provinces of Yemen. The attacks were reportedly conducted a day after the Saudi-led strikes resulted in numerous civilian casualties, predominantly affecting women and children.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, military spokesperson Yahya Saree stated that the retaliatory operations included an attack on Khalid International Airport in Riyadh. Other targets comprised aircraft hangars, ammunition depots, drone control centers, and critical sites at King Khalid Air Base in Khamis Mushait, as well as the Southern Naval Base of the Border Guard Forces in Jizan.
Saree emphasized the value of Yemeni lives and underscored the commitment to responding forcefully to what was described as the "criminal enemy's" aggression. The spokesperson warned international airlines and personnel to avoid Saudi airspace, particularly near Riyadh's main airport, while assuring that the airspace over Mecca and Medina would not be targeted.
The statement reflects Yemen's determination to continue military operations within Saudi territory as a form of retaliation for the recent attacks.
