Tehran: Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi, senior military adviser to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, emphasized that Iran's defense industry must enhance its capabilities to deter potential adversaries and position Iran as a constant warning to aggressive regimes and their allies.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Safavi delivered this message on Saturday in commemoration of Iran's Defense Industry Day on August 22. He highlighted the national commitment to maintaining strength in an increasingly volatile global environment. Safavi underscored the defense industry's role as a cornerstone of strategic power-building, advocating for the advancement of domestic knowledge, technological development, and self-reliance.

He asserted that the mission of the Iranian Defense Ministry should extend beyond the routine needs of the Armed Forces, focusing instead on developing a smart, dynamic, and comprehensive deterrence strategy to address a variety of potential threats. Safavi advocated for the targeted development of sophisticated defense systems and equipment that can effectively respond to both asymmetric and large-scale conflicts, thereby preventing adversaries from making strategic miscalculations.
