Tehran: Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has commended regional states for disregarding US President Donald Trump's aggressive rhetoric and threats, highlighting that Iran has received numerous communications from its neighboring countries regarding the establishment of new regional security and economic frameworks.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Ghalibaf, in a post on his X network on Saturday, reacted to Trump's recent threats by stating that Iran had received 'numerous messages from neighboring countries about shaping new security arrangements and economic cooperation in the region.' He criticized the United States for jeopardizing the security of its allies through 'bullying and pure disregard for their interests for the sake of Israel,' suggesting that this approach had momentarily put their very existence at risk.

The parliament speaker further emphasized the importance of developing a 'homegrown and independent order' for Iran's neighbors, which he believes could facilitate genuine peace and security in the region. This sentiment was a direct response to Trump's threats of targeting countries that continue their economic and commercial interactions with Iran, underscoring Iran's resolve to strengthen collaboration with its neighbors through initiatives that operate independently of the United States.
