Iran’s Embassy in London Criticizes Trump Following Midterm Election Results

London:The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the UK has criticized US President Donald Trump following the loss of Congress control by his Republican Party in Tuesday's midterm elections.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the Iranian Embassy suggested on its official X account that it would be an opportune moment for Trump and his team to read Barbara Tuchman's book, "The March of Folly." The Embassy's message included a satirical image of President Trump reading the book, with a concerned expression and his hand on his forehead.

The book, "The March of Folly," first published in 1984 by American historian Barbara Tuchman, analyzes historical events such as the Trojan War and the Vietnam War, focusing on political and military decisions made despite their known adverse consequences.

The Iranian Embassy's remarks came shortly after the US midterm election results were declared, highlighting a significant defeat for Republicans under Trump's leadership. The Democrats gained control of both the House of Representatives and the Senate.

These elections occurred amid an illegal war, launched by the US and Israel against Iran, which has impacted economic conditions, including rising energy prices and the cost of living, issues that have been central in American political discussions recently.
