Iran’s Firm Control Over Strait of Hormuz to Remain Unchanged

Tehran:Alaeddin Boroujerdi, a senior member of Iran's Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, has reiterated that Tehran will continue to maintain firm control over the Strait of Hormuz, describing it as an unchangeable policy of the Islamic Republic.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Boroujerdi made these remarks while speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a memorial service for Badr al-Sadat Araghchi, the sister of the foreign minister. He emphasized that Iran's firm control over the strategic waterway is a longstanding policy that will not change.

Boroujerdi also commented on the ongoing issues between Iran and the United States, noting that President Trump has consistently used threatening rhetoric towards Iran. He remarked that Iranians have become accustomed to the US president's remarks and the irregularities in his rhetoric.

He further stressed that Iran will persist on its current path, continue to maintain its positions, and not back down. Boroujerdi asserted that Iran is the victor in the ongoing situation concerning the Strait of Hormuz, and this policy will be upheld firmly.
