Iran’s Justice Minister Commends Police Amid Conflict

Tehran:Minister of Justice Amin Hossein Rahimi has praised the performance of Iran's police forces during the ongoing conflicts against the nation.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Rahimi highlighted that the American and Zionist enemies have violated international laws by targeting police headquarters. Such attacks, he emphasized, constitute war crimes since police facilities are meant to maintain public order and are distinct from military installations.

Rahimi noted that despite the assaults aimed at undermining public security, the police effectively countered these threats by continuing their operations from the streets, thereby thwarting the enemy's plans. He also mentioned last year's emphasis by the Judiciary on the necessity of pursuing judicial action for crimes committed during the conflict, including the martyrdom of some officials, which he described as another violation of international rules.

The Judiciary and Ministry of Justice have intensified efforts to pursue the aggressors both internationally and domestically. Rahimi criticized the current international system for allowing aggressors to act with impunity, stating that Iran will utilize any available legal opportunities to hold the perpetrators accountable. Domestically, Iran's laws support the prosecution of aggressors and the pursuit of compensation, with numerous cases already filed to address harms suffered by police personnel.
