Tehran: In a recent post on his X account, former Iranian foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif highlighted the vital role of the Iranian people in strengthening the nation. By sharing images of millions participating in the funeral procession of Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, Zarif underscored the commitment and unity of the people as Iran's most significant strategic asset.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Zarif stated, "Iran's greatest strategic asset-above its geography and brave military-is its valiant people." He emphasized the massive turnout to honor the leader, who was described as having been "cowardly murdered with his family and 168 schoolchildren in Minab by the worst criminals."

The former foreign minister reiterated that no form of aggression or coercion could bring the Iranian nation to its knees. The funeral and farewell ceremonies for Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and several members of his family commenced on Saturday morning, drawing millions of mourners to Tehran.
