Tehran: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has expressed gratitude to Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan for attending the farewell ceremony for the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, and conveying condolences on behalf of the Armenian government and people.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, in a message posted on X on Wednesday, Pezeshkian commended Pashinyan and the accompanying high-ranking delegation, stating that Iran would not forget Armenia's goodwill and gesture of solidarity. The president emphasized the significance of the friendship between the two nations, highlighting the hope that the long-standing friendly relations, built on shared interests, good neighborliness, and mutual respect, would continue to grow.

Pezeshkian also noted that the martyred Leader had consistently emphasized the importance of strengthening ties with Armenia, describing it as a noble neighbor. He reaffirmed Iran's commitment to enhancing comprehensive bilateral cooperation, signaling a future of strengthened relations between the two countries.
