Iran's representative to the United Nations, Amir Saeed Iravani, stressed: "The Zionist entity is pushing the region to the brink of the abyss." Iravani said in a speech at the emergency session of the UN Security Council: "Our missile attacks on the Zionist entity were necessary, and we have exercised self-restraint for many years and our actions are based on international law," noting: "The Zionist entity only understands the language of force." He added: "Iran has no choice but to respond to the blatant violations of the Zionist entity," calling on the international community to stop the Zionist entity and prevent it from committing more massacres in Lebanon and Palestine. The Iranian representative continued: "We move without hesitation to any Zionist response to protect our country and the region." Source: National Iraqi News Agency
