Tehran: Iran's Minister of Science, Research and Technology, Hossein Simaei Sarraf, has arrived in Islamabad to participate in the sixth Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) ministerial meeting. Upon his arrival at Islamabad International Airport on Monday, he was welcomed by Iran's ambassador and officials from Pakistan's Ministry of Science and Technology.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, during his three-day visit, the minister is set to address the ECO science ministers' meeting, take part in the board session of the ECO Science Foundation, and engage in discussions regarding bilateral academic cooperation with his counterparts in Pakistan. Additionally, the election of the next president of the ECO Science Foundation is slated as a key agenda item for the ministerial meeting.
