Iran’s Top Security Official Engages in Strategic Talks with Saudi Leaders

Riyadh: Iran’s top security official, Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, is currently in Saudi Arabia for pivotal discussions with senior Saudi officials. Larijani, accompanied by key figures such as Ali Bagheri Kani, his deputy for political affairs, and Mohammad Alibak, advisor to the foreign minister for Persian Gulf affairs, arrived in Riyadh at noon on Tuesday.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Larijani’s itinerary includes meetings with high-ranking officials, notably the Saudi Defense Minister, Khalid bin Salman Al Saud. The talks are set to focus significantly on enhancing bilateral economic cooperation between the two nations. This visit marks an important step in the ongoing diplomatic engagements following the April visit to Iran by Khalid bin Salman Al Saud.

Saudi Arabia is the third regional destination for Larijani since he took office as the secretary of the Supreme National Security Council on August 5. His previous visits to Iraq and Lebanon highlight a concerted effort to strengthen regional ties and collaboration.
