Muscat: Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Larijani has met with Sultan of Oman Haitham bin Tariq to discuss the latest regional and international developments. Larijani met with Sultan Haitham in Muscat, the capital of Oman, on Tuesday. According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the meeting lasted nearly three hours and was conducted in a positive and constructive atmosphere. The two leaders discussed the latest regional and international developments and explored ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between Iran and Oman. After the meeting with the Sultan, Larijani held talks with Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi. Upon his arrival at Muscat Airport, Larijani was welcomed by Sultan bin Mohammed al Numani, the Minister of the Royal Office of the Sultanate of Oman. Larijani arrived in Muscat earlier on Tuesday with a senior delegation as part of an official visit to hold discussions with Omani officials. The visit follows the first round of new indirect talks b etween the United States and Iran on nuclear and sanctions-related issues, hosted by Muscat on Friday.
