Iran’s Vice President Calls for New Regional Role

Tehran:First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref has declared that with Iranophobia now neutralized, it is time for Iran to embrace a new role in the region.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Aref made these remarks during a meeting with the members of the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution. He mentioned that European ministers have informed Iranian officials that Iran's firm stance against the United States has also ended their own sense of humiliation before Washington.

Aref highlighted that Iran was the sole nation to confront the US with authority. He also noted that while the Islamic Revolution was anti-arrogance, global hegemony used proxy forces against it.

He explained that Iran is now in direct engagement with the United States and the Zionist regime and asserted that regardless of recent negotiations potentially leading to a memorandum of understanding, Iran's stance towards the US would remain unchanged.

Aref emphasized that future conflicts will be fought with technology, with the nation's scientists serving as its officers. Over the next two years, Iran aims to achieve the region's top ranking and a globally influential position in science and technology, in line with the strategy of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution.
