Baghdad: Secretary General of the Sayyed Al-Shuhada Brigades in the Popular Mobilization Forces of Iraq, Abu Alaa al-Walae, has responded to United States President Donald Trump's recent threats against Iran, asserting Iraq's support for the neighboring nation.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, al-Walae addressed Trump's rhetoric in a post on his X account on Thursday. He remarked that a person of honor cannot remain neutral in the face of clear moral distinctions, drawing historical parallels between figures such as [Prophet] Moses (PBUH) and Pharaoh, as well as [Prophet] Muhammad (PBUH) and Abu Jahl. He further compared the current tension between Iran and the United States to these historical conflicts.

Al-Walae declared, "Just as we have stood by Palestine, whenever needed, we will stand by the Islamic Republic of Iran with our conscience and blood and defend it." He emphasized the unyielding nature of their principles and called upon divine witness to their steadfastness.
