An-Naqoura: Israeli warplanes have bombed the town of An-Naqoura in southern Lebanon. Israeli fighter jets carried out multiple bombing raids on the town of An-Naqoura, located in the western part of southern Lebanon, early Thursday.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the Israeli warplanes struck the old health center in An-Naqoura three times, and a number of prefabricated houses in the municipality were also targeted. The airstrikes come amid a tense backdrop where Israel and Hezbollah have exchanged cross-border attacks for 13 months following the regime's war on the Gaza Strip.
A ceasefire was agreed upon in November 2024; however, Israel has been accused of violating the truce by maintaining a military presence at five locations in the south of Lebanon. This ongoing military presence is seen as a breach of the ceasefire agreement.
