Tehran: The United States has suffered shortages in strategic weapons following its recent war against Iran, and replenishing some of its depleted stocks could take years, a spokesman for the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) says. Brigadier General Hossein Mohebbi stated that Washington, which had traditionally managed wars in other countries while shifting the costs onto others, had this time faced direct strategic vulnerabilities.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Mohebbi addressed media representatives in Isfahan, revealing that the United States was forced to retreat "not only in the hard war but also in the infrastructure war." He further pointed out that the confrontation also left the United States facing shortages of oil, aluminum, and chemical fertilizers.

Mohebbi elaborated on military supplies, stating that Washington had anticipated a depletion of Iran's missile stocks over time, yet Iranian missile operations persisted. He noted that a reduction in US strategic weapons stocks was one of the reasons for Washington's retreat, emphasizing that the US military doctrine relies on the capacity to engage on multiple fronts simultaneously.

He warned that any new threat in the western Pacific, including from China or Russia, would further constrain the weapons available to Washington for an extended confrontation with Iran. Mohebbi detailed that the United States was compelled to withdraw in three stages of confrontation with Iran, including the 12-, 40-, and 17-day wars, eventually resorting to economic warfare.

Despite the detection and targeting of numerous sites, Mohebbi concluded, the enemy's technology failed to disrupt the cohesion of the Iranian people and the mutual support between the public and armed forces.
