Tehran: The commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Navy has asserted that 'divine retribution' against the United States and Israel is imminent, vowing that IRGC naval forces will uphold the legacy of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, IRGC Navy Chief Commander Rear Admiral Ali Ozmaei, in a message on Saturday, affirmed that he and all IRGC Navy personnel 'pledge to God that, by following the ideals of the martyrs, we will continue the path of the martyred leader of the Ummah with strength and steadfastness.' Ozmaei expressed a firm belief that divine retribution against 'the terrorist America and the illegitimate Zionist regime is not far off.'

Ayatollah Khamenei lost his life in US-Israeli air raids on February 28, during a conflict initiated by the two regimes against Iran, resulting in thousands of Iranian civilian casualties. Ozmaei described the late Leader as 'the man of the arenas of patience and insight' and 'the steadfast voice of truth against the storm of falsehood,' emphasizing that his name, memory, path, and 'pure blood' will continue to inspire the nation.

The commander emphasized that the funeral ceremony for Ayatollah Khamenei was not a farewell, but rather 'a renewed pledge' to uphold his ideals, faith, and resolve. Ozmaei praised the late Leader for defending the dignity of the Islamic Ummah and steadfastly opposing 'the front of disbelief and arrogance' throughout his life.
