Tehran: Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has announced the martyrdom of five Basij forces in a terrorist attack in the city of Saravan in the southeastern province of Sistan-and-Baluchestan. The Public Relations Office of the IRGC Ground Force's Quds Headquarters in southeast Iran issued a statement regarding the incident. According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the statement highlighted that the five Baluch members of Basij, a volunteer force within the IRGC, lost their lives in an attack by gunmen in the Sirkan district of Saravan. A manhunt is currently underway to apprehend the perpetrators. Additionally, the statement reported that IRGC member Major Saeed Parvinnezhad succumbed to his injuries sustained in clashes with Jaish al-Adl terrorists on Friday, November 8. Parvinnezhad passed away on Sunday evening due to wounds to his head, having been injured in the clashes in the Firouzabad district of the city of Rask in Sistan-and-Baluchestan Province.
