Tehran: Iran’s aluminum ingot production has exceeded 350,000 tons from March 21 to October 21, 2024, as reported by the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the four major aluminum companies in Iran-South Aluminum Corporation, IRALCO, Almahdi Aluminium Co., and Iran Alumina Company-collectively produced 352,423 tons of aluminum ingots during this period. This marks a decrease compared to the 367,091 tons produced in the same timeframe last year.
South Aluminum Corporation led the production figures this year with 144,496 tons of aluminum ingots. Following closely were IRALCO with 100,998 tons, Almahdi Aluminium Co. with 87,227 tons, and Iran Alumina Company with 19,702 tons.
Additionally, Iran Alumina Company reported significant production figures in other areas, including 138,859 tons of alumina powder, 232,851 tons of aluminum hydroxide, and 459,409 tons of bauxite, showing year-on-year increases of 2%, 2%, and
40%, respectively.
