Tehran: In a statement marked by a tone of defiance, the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that recent attacks by the United States have only strengthened their control over the critical Strait of Hormuz. The IRGC emphasized that these attacks, stemming from what they describe as enemy desperation, have prompted a decisive response intended to make the aggressors regret their actions.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the IRGC's Public Relations Department released a statement late Tuesday night addressing the people of Iran. The statement highlighted the resilience and determination of the Iranian people and military forces, asserting that their presence has frustrated American efforts in the region. The IRGC detailed that, under pressure, the US military launched a series of attacks targeting multiple sites along Iran's southern coast, including civilian areas, which they claim only serves to bolster Iran's resolve.

The IRGC declared that they have initiated a counter-response to these actions. In what they describe as the first move, the IRGC reported the successful deployment of an advanced aerospace defense system that resulted in the downing of a US MQ-9 drone.
