IRGC Targets US Military Facilities in Bahrain and Oman

Manama: The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has announced that it destroyed US military facilities and infrastructure in Bahrain and military radar systems in Oman during the latest phase of its retaliatory operations.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the IRGC released a statement on Monday detailing the operations. The statement noted that IRGC naval units targeted US military installations in Juffair, Bahrain, causing the facilities to be set ablaze following the attack.

The statement further highlighted that missile and drone strikes were used to destroy an FPS long-range air surveillance radar and a maritime detection radar in the Sultanate of Oman.

The IRGC statement also outlined recent US military actions, including the striking of an agricultural water pump in Mahshahr County, southwest Iran. This was described as evidence of Washington's hostile approach toward civilians.

The attacks were part of the fifth phase of Iran's retaliatory operations against what it terms US aggression. The IRGC emphasized that safe navigation through the Strait of Hormuz relies on an end to US military involvement in the area and respect for coastal states' sovereignty over their territorial waters.

The IRGC warned that continued US intervention could lead to broader consequences affecting global oil and gas markets.
