Islamic Jihad Dismisses Disarmament Clause in Ceasefire Agreement

Gaza: The secretary general of the Islamic Jihad resistance movement has dismissed the idea of disarmament, saying that Palestinian resistance factions have not agreed to any clause related to disarmament.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Mohammad Al-Hindi stated that the Resistance will not accept threats to forcibly seize their weapons. He clarified that there are no secret clauses in the Gaza ceasefire agreement, adding that the claims circulated by the Israeli regime are ‘mere rumors with no basis in fact.’

He added that attempts by the regime to obstruct the implementation of the ceasefire agreement were expected. Al-Hindi stressed that the Resistance factions are closely monitoring the implementation of the deal to ensure that the rights of the Palestinian people are upheld.

On October 9, US President Donald Trump announced that Israel and the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, had reached a ceasefire agreement following indirect negotiations in Sharm El-Sheikh, with the participation of Turkey, Egypt, and Qatar, under US supervision.
