Tehran: Ali Shamkhani, the representative of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution on the Supreme National Defense Council, declared that Iran has not initiated any wars in the last 47 years and does not seek conflict. He also indicated Iran's readiness for practical negotiations with the United States under clear conditions.

According to the Islamic Republic News Agency, Shamkhani, in an interview with Lebanon's Al Mayadeen TV network, articulated that war encompasses more than military confrontations. He highlighted that Iran is currently enduring a form of warfare that includes threats and psychological pressure, and emphasized Tehran's preparedness for all scenarios, including military readiness to confront potential conflicts.

Shamkhani remarked that hostile powers persist in their attempts to undermine Iran despite past failures, cautioning that such efforts could destabilize the region. He referred to former US President Donald Trump's multiple strategies against Iran following the US withdrawal from the 2015 nuclear agreement, noting their lack of success.

Shamkhani revealed that Iran is now contending with a Plan B involving threats and psychological warfare, with the potential for armed actions. He mentioned that proposals have been sent to Tehran, and if they are devoid of threats and coercion while containing logical conditions, war could be avoided. He stated that Iran is open only to practical discussions with the US focused on the nuclear issue, while criticizing Europe's ineffective role.

He reiterated that the production or possession of nuclear weapons is forbidden, confirming Iran's stance against seeking, building, or stockpiling such weapons. Shamkhani clarified that Iran's 60% enriched uranium serves peaceful purposes and could be reduced to 20% domestically, provided the financial costs are met.

Lastly, Shamkhani warned that any military aggression, no matter how limited, would escalate into a significant crisis, with Iran's response not restricted geographically. He stated that any US attack would be regarded as coordinated with the Israeli regime and would be met with reciprocal measures.
