Israel Intercepts Drone Near Jordanian Border

Tel aviv: The Israeli air force reported on Tuesday morning that it had successfully intercepted a drone near the border with Jordan. The military has not disclosed any details about the origin of the drone.

According to Deutsche Welle, the air force clarified that the drone did not enter Israeli airspace. This incident followed the interception of two additional drones near the Jordanian border on Monday, the origins of which also remain unknown.

Israel shares its borders with several countries in a region marked by ongoing conflicts. Jordan, which borders Israel and the Israeli-occupied West Bank, also shares its frontiers with Syria, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia, highlighting its strategic importance. The United States maintains a military presence on Jordanian air force bases, further emphasizing the area's geopolitical significance.

Despite Israel's involvement in an initial offensive against Iran in February, it has not taken part in the most recent series of strikes.
