Israeli Warplanes Strike Southern Lebanon’s Mansouri

Tehran: Israeli warplanes struck the southern Lebanese town of Mansouri with two missiles on Tuesday night, Lebanon's National News Agency (NNA) reported.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Israeli warplanes and drones were also conducting low-altitude flights over the city of Tyre and surrounding villages. Israeli forces additionally shelled the town of Mais al-Jabal, the report said.

Mansouri, located in the Tyre district, has been repeatedly targeted by Israeli airstrikes, artillery fire, and explosions in recent weeks. Lebanese and international reports have documented extensive destruction in the town.

The latest assaults came amid continued Israeli military aggression in southern Lebanon despite a US-mediated framework agreement between Lebanon and Israel. The agreement was signed in June with the stated aim of ending the war and addressing security arrangements in southern Lebanon. Lebanese officials have also reported thousands of Israeli violations since the agreement was signed.
