Tehran: Iran's Judiciary Chief Gholamhossein Mohseni-Ejei has issued a message offering condolences over the passing of prominent Shia cleric and source of emulation Ayatollah Seyyed Mousa Shobeiri Zanjani. Mohseni-Ejei issued the message on Monday, offering condolences to all sources of emulation, clerics, seminaries, and Shia Muslims.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Mohseni-Ejei praised the late cleric for his distinguished character, significant contributions to Islamic jurisprudence, and efforts to train renowned scholars in the field.

The office of Ayatollah Seyyed Mousa Shobeiri Zanjani confirmed his passing in an announcement earlier on Monday. The office said details of the funeral and burial ceremonies would be announced later.
