Tehran: Iran's judiciary chief has vowed to pursue and punish US and Israeli leaders for the assassination of the late Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, stating that the nation has raised 'the flag of blood revenge' and will not relent in its pursuit of justice.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Gholam-Hossein Mohseni Ejei made these remarks on Sunday during a ceremony in Tehran. The event, which unveiled a book on the life and views of Iran's new Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, was attended by foreign guests, intellectuals, and activists.

Mohseni Ejei emphasized that for more than four months, the Iranian population has been mourning their martyred Leader and has raised a call for vengeance. He asserted that the US and Israel must face consequences for their actions against the Iranian nation, citing international conventions, including the Geneva Conventions, which have explicit provisions regarding war criminals.

He declared that Iran would decisively pursue, try, and punish those responsible and demand compensation for the damages inflicted on the nation. Additionally, Mohseni Ejei reiterated Iran's commitment to supporting the Axis of Resistance and backing any movement against US and Zionist oppressors.

The judiciary chief further urged neighboring countries to be vigilant against 'the malice and vileness of the enemies of Islam,' reaffirming Iran's support for neighboring nations as long as they remain independent of enemy influences.
