Tehran: President Masoud Pezeshkian has congratulated Gholam-Hossein Mohseni Ejei on his reappointment as head of Iran's judiciary and called for greater cooperation between the executive and judicial branches.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, in a message released Sunday, Pezeshkian stated that Mohseni Ejei's reappointment by Leader Ayatollah of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei demonstrated his confidence in Mohseni Ejei's commitment, experience, and valuable services in the judiciary.

Pezeshkian emphasized that the administration of justice, protection of rights, and the rule of law are essential for strengthening public trust and advancing the country. He further highlighted that close cooperation among the three branches of government could help resolve many national challenges and improve public services.

Mohseni Ejei has served as judiciary chief since 2021. He was initially appointed by the late Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, replacing then-President-elect Ebrahim Raisi, who had held the post before his election as president.
