Tehran: In a significant celebration of Administration Week, President Masoud Pezeshkian inaugurated two strategic projects from the Ministry of Oil along with 722 small and medium-sized projects under the Ministry of Industry, Mine, and Trade. The inauguration, which took place on Friday, marks a pivotal moment for national infrastructure development.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the highlighted projects include a 455-kilometer pipeline for transporting products from Bandar Abbas in southern Iran to Rafsanjan in central-eastern Iran, and a 340-kilometer pipeline for transporting sour crude oil from Sabzab in western Iran to Rey in northern-central Iran. During the inauguration, President Pezeshkian expressed gratitude to workers, employers, investors, and directors who contributed to the establishment and revitalization of these vital projects. He also highlighted the significance of these pipelines in lowering expenses, boosting efficiency, and decreasing environmental pollution, all of which are essential for the nation’s energy security.
Additionally, the Minister of Oil, Mohsen Paknejad, reiterated the administration’s commitment to developing oil infrastructure, with plans to complete 2,900 kilometers of oil transfer pipelines by the end of the Seventh National Development Plan. He highlighted that over 95% of the equipment used in these projects was sourced domestically, creating 3,000 direct and 7,000 indirect job opportunities.
Moreover, the inauguration of a water transfer project from a seawater desalination plant in the Persian Gulf to Bandar Abbas City was also celebrated, showcasing the administration’s efforts in ensuring sustainable water supply and addressing regional needs during this significant week.
