Tehran: Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei has emphasized that maintaining and improving Iran's status as a major and influential power is directly linked to population growth. Ayatollah Khamenei's remarks were made in response to a letter from activists focused on population growth, and his message was released on Iran's National Population Day.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Ayatollah Khamenei highlighted that one of the achievements of the third Sacred Defense and the nation's awakening is Iran's emergence as a powerful and influential country. He stressed that sustaining and enhancing this status is directly connected to population growth. The Leader addressed the importance of population growth and its relationship to the strength and civilization of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized the increasing efforts of grassroots activists in promoting population growth and encouraging a culture of childbearing. He stated that if the Iranian nation follows the correct policy of increasing the population, it would be able to play great roles and achieve strategic advancements in the future. He added that this approach would aid Iran in taking significant steps toward building a new Islamic civilization.
