Tehran: The Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Tehran, Cong Peiwu, met on Tuesday with Kazem Gharibabadi, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs. During the meeting, the two diplomats exchanged views on key issues in bilateral relations, following the recent appointment of Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf as the Special Envoy of the Islamic Republic of Iran for China Affairs. They also discussed the latest regional developments. According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Gharibabadi stated that Ghalibaf's appointment as special envoy demonstrates Iran's serious commitment and long-term vision toward maintaining and expanding the scope and depth of its ties with China.
