Beirut: Faisal Abdul Sattar, a Lebanese expert and political analyst, emphasized the increased need for influential figures like Martyr Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani in the current geopolitical climate.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Abdul Sattar expressed in an interview that General Soleimani was not merely a participant within the Axis of Resistance, but rather its cornerstone. Abdul Sattar noted Soleimani's exceptional role and responsibilities across several regions, including Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, and Palestine, underlining his dedication to serving both the oppressed and Resistance forces.

Abdul Sattar further articulated the profound impact of the loss of Commander Soleimani and his companion Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, highlighting it as a significant blow to the movement. General Soleimani and senior Iraqi commander al-Muhandis were both recognized as leading anti-terror figures in the region. Their assassination occurred in a terror attack orchestrated by the US army near Baghdad on January 3, 2020, following direct orders from the then-US President Donald Trump.
