Tehran: Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has underscored the pivotal role of 'jihadi management,' a service-oriented approach in Iran, as a core mission of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei. He emphasized that Ayatollah Khamenei's relationship with officials and forces transcended organizational hierarchy, highlighting his influence and legacy in the country.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, in a note titled 'A Soldier's Account of the Commander-in-Chief' published in a special edition of the monthly cultural and artistic magazine Sarv, Ghalibaf reminisced about the wisdom and ideals of the martyred Leader. He described Ayatollah Khamenei as 'a criterion' for distinguishing right from wrong on the most arduous paths. Ghalibaf noted that the relationship between a commander and his forces, based on trust, faith, and experience, was a hallmark of the late Leader's approach, as he believed in his personnel, understood their pain, and stood alongside them.
Ghalibaf further elaborated that the mourning for the martyred Leader was not merely an emotional response but a constant reminder of the 'loss of a unique gem.' Calling himself a student of Ayatollah Khamenei, Ghalibaf recounted his experiences of observing the Leader's vision and wisdom through various roles, from the Sacred Defense to executive and managerial positions.
He articulated that a good commander is not only defined by power but must also be 'beloved' by his forces. He praised Imam Khamenei's kindness, empathy, and unwavering support for his subordinates, which made him exceptional. Ghalibaf highlighted the Leader's decision-making prowess in challenging moments, emphasizing the importance of adhering to principles despite external pressures. He described Ayatollah Khamenei as a 'teacher of realistic idealism,' maintaining a balance between idealism and realism without succumbing to conservatism.
Ghalibaf pointed out that the concept of 'jihadi management' was integral to Ayatollah Khamenei's thought, advocating that the Islamic establishment's legitimacy must be felt through real progress, justice, and services experienced by the people in their daily lives. Recalling his tenure as Mayor of Tehran, Ghalibaf noted the Leader's emphasis on the jihadi spirit as a source of spiritual support, outlining a management model centered on serving the people.
He explained that jihadi management was a 'lifestyle' driven by service rather than authority, proposing solutions instead of justifications. This belief, rooted in Ayatollah Khamenei's deep understanding of the Iranian nation, guided the country through crises following the Islamic Revolution. Ghalibaf emphasized the Leader's emotional connection with the people, adding that his speeches exuded strength, but his personal interactions revealed a heart full of love for the citizens, martyrs' families, veterans, and those serving the nation.
Ghalibaf acknowledged the Leader's wisdom demonstrated through decades of leadership, navigating complex regional and global challenges, including wars, sanctions, and economic crises. He remarked that Ayatollah Khamenei's keen vision remained evident even after his demise, inspiring resilience against aggressors.
Ghalibaf concluded by praising Ayatollah Khamenei's decision-making in crucial moments and his unwavering responsibility, asserting that a true commander distinguishes right from wrong and guides others accordingly. While the Leader may have passed, Ghalibaf affirmed that the school of thought Ayatollah Khamenei left behind continues to inspire spirituality, rationality, justice, and service.
