Tehran: A ceremony commemorating the 40th day since the burial of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, was held in the northeastern Iranian city of Mashhad late Thursday, August 20, 2026.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the ceremony took place in one of the courtyards of the holy shrine of Imam Reza (PBUH). The event saw the attendance of religious scholars, people from various walks of life, and several officials.
