Tehran: Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Ali Abdollahi has issued a stern warning, emphasizing that any 'miscalculation' by adversaries will be met with a 'revolutionary, crushing, regret-inducing, and devastating response.'

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Major General Abdollahi conveyed this message in a communication to Caretaker Defense Minister Brigadier General Majid Ebn al-Reza in recognition of Iran's Defense Industry Day on August 22. He highlighted the significance of the country's defense industry as a symbol of indigenous and deterrent power, particularly in the face of sanctions and hostility from what he termed 'child-killing hegemonic powers.'

Defense Industry Day, Abdollahi noted, is a commemoration of the relentless dedication of experts and personnel in the Defense Ministry, including those who have been martyred in their efforts to advance Iran's defense capabilities through a combination of faith and expertise. He described the defense industry as a vital component of national strength and a crucial element in bolstering Iran's security and dignity.

Recent developments within the Defense Ministry, as outlined by Major General Abdollahi, have transcended traditional military equipment production, culminating in what he referred to as a 'deterrent defense industrial revolution.' He credited these achievements to the culture of self-reliance instilled by the founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini, and the guidance offered by the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei. Their focus on scientific self-sufficiency and deterrent power has, according to Abdollahi, facilitated the emergence of both extensive defensive and offensive capabilities.

In his address, the Armed Forces chief also honored those martyred within Iran's defense industry, emphasizing the comprehensive and modern readiness of the Iranian Armed Forces across all domains, including land, sea, air, air defense, space, and cyberspace.
