Tehran: President Masoud Pezeshkian: President Masoud Pezeshkian has declared that the mass funeral ceremonies for the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, represent not a farewell but a commitment to continue his work and legacy.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Pezeshkian made these remarks during an interview with the official broadcaster covering the funeral of Ayatollah Khamenei, who was assassinated in a US-Israeli airstrike on February 28. Emphasizing the significance of the ceremonies, Pezeshkian stated, "I do not accept the interpretation of 'farewell.' This is not a farewell, but rather a pledge to continue the path."

The president extended his condolences to the Leader's family and all those who lost their lives in the fight for "the honor and dignity of Iran and Islam." He stressed that the enemy's engagement in the conflict had disrupted the region's geography but inadvertently strengthened unity and cohesion among Muslims while exposing the falsehood of their human rights rhetoric.

Pezeshkian criticized the enemy, accusing them of using false narratives about freedom and human rights. He placed responsibility for regional crimes on the Zionists, supported by the US and European countries.
