Military Chief Thanks Pakistan for Support During U.S.-Israeli Aggression

Tehran: Chairman of the Chief of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces, Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, has expressed gratitude to Pakistan for its support during the recent conflict involving the Israeli regime and the United States. In a phone conversation with Pakistan’s Chief of the Army Staff, General Asim Munir, Major General Mousavi highlighted the importance of defense diplomacy following the 12-day war.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Major General Mousavi elaborated on the scale of involvement, stating that the United States was heavily invested in supporting the Zionist regime. He noted that the U.S. not only participated in the aggression but also mobilized all its capabilities to defend against Iran’s missile and drone attacks. He also pointed out that several Western countries offered both verbal and practical support to the adversaries.

The Iranian military leader emphasized the resilience demonstrated by Iran despite suffering losses, including the martyrdom of key commanders at the beginning of the conflict. He asserted that Iran managed to thwart the enemy’s objectives, ultimately forcing them to seek a ceasefire.

The conflict began when Israel launched its aggression on June 13, just days before scheduled talks between Iran and the United States regarding Tehran’s peaceful nuclear program. The United States escalated the situation by joining the war on June 22, carrying out airstrikes on three of Iran’s nuclear sites in Fordow, Isfahan, and Natanz.

In response, the Iranian Armed Forces launched powerful retaliatory strikes targeting key positions across Israeli-occupied territories, causing significant damage.
