Minister Highlights Significance of National Day of Fight Against Global Arrogance

Tehran:Minister of Education Alireza Kazemi has emphasized the increased responsibilities of the Iranian nation during this year's commemorations of the 1979 US Embassy takeover, known as the National Day of the Fight Against Global Arrogance, due to ongoing hostile activities by enemies.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Kazemi spoke at a coordination meeting for the events, also recognized as National Student Day. He highlighted the historical importance of the day, labeling the 13th of Aban on the Persian calendar, or November 4th, as the pinnacle of Anti-Arrogance Week.

Kazemi referenced several significant events linked to this period, including Student Basij Week, the anniversary of the martyrdom of Mohammad Hossein Fahmideh, the 1964 exile of Imam Khomeini, and the seizure of the US Embassy. He underscored the necessity to utilize the occasion to bolster the spirit against global arrogance, noting that the US-Israeli war of aggression and ongoing conspiracies have heightened the importance of this week to demonstrate national unity and resilience.

He further stressed the international impact of the Iranian nation's steadfastness, underscoring the need to maintain the legacy of the martyrs in order to draw global attention to their resolve and to exhibit their unwavering determination in defending Iran.

Every year in early November, Iranians, alongside school and university students, conduct large rallies nationwide to voice their dissatisfaction with US policies and to honor those who seized the American Embassy, referred to in Iran as the Den of Espionage, capturing its personnel and documents that unveiled Washington's divisive schemes.
