Tehran: Managing Director of the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) Hossein Jaberi Ansari says that national power is built through the combination of various capabilities, stressing that unity and cooperation among the government, people, and state institutions enabled Iran to withstand foreign aggression with dignity.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Jaberi Ansari spoke during a visit to Lorestan Province, southwestern Iran, on Sunday to mark the National Journalists' Day. He acknowledged the efforts of government officials at both national and provincial levels for managing public affairs under difficult conditions, particularly during wartime and periods of economic pressure.

Jaberi Ansari explained that Armed Forces and security personnel contribute to national power through defense, while government officials strengthen the country by managing state affairs and addressing people's needs. He emphasized that different sectors of Iranian society had effectively stood in the same trench to protect the country, including those pursuing diplomacy and negotiations, as well as individuals active in economic and social fields.

He noted that one calculation by Iran's adversaries during the foreign attack was that external pressure would be accompanied by internal unrest. However, he stated that the Iranian people's presence and cohesion prevented that scenario from materializing. The government, Armed Forces, senior officials, the Supreme National Security Council, ministries, diplomats, political groups, and other institutions each played a role in confronting the crisis.

Jaberi Ansari also highlighted the media's role in the broader national effort, praising journalists and reporters as an important part of the effort to serve the country and preserve the truth. He commended Iranian journalists for their dedication in creating an environment conducive to managing the country's affairs and pointed to the accounts of civilians, families of fallen soldiers, and military personnel during the war as reflections of the faith, patience, and resilience of the Iranian people.

The managing director remarked on the large public participation in funeral ceremonies for those martyred during the conflict, demonstrating that foreign adversaries had failed to create a divide between the Iranian people and their country.
