Tehran: Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf announced that the Nazi and Fascist actions of the Israeli regime were discussed at the recent Sixth World Conference of Speakers of Parliament in Geneva. He emphasized the significance of this summit, marking Iran’s first participation in a UN official event since the 12-day war imposed by Israel on Iran starting June 13, 2025.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Ghalibaf addressed Iran’s Parliament, indicating that over 110 parliamentary delegations participated in the Geneva summit, amplifying its importance. He criticized the Western media for attempting to depict Iran as the loser of the recent conflict, suggesting that such portrayals aimed to pressure Iran into accepting an imposed peace.
Ghalibaf highlighted Iran’s dual objectives at the summit: to represent the oppressed people of Gaza, who face systematic genocide, and to advocate for humanity from international governments and organizations. He elaborated on three key programs discussed in Geneva, including a side summit on international law adherence to ensure global peace and security, along with opportunities for formal speeches and bilateral meetings.
He described the Israeli regime’s actions as a form of 21st-century Nazism, characterized by state racism, systematic genocide, and violations of territorial integrity, posing a threat to global security. Ghalibaf urged international organizations to take concrete actions beyond verbal declarations in defense of Gaza’s oppressed population.
The Sixth World Conference of Speakers of Parliament, organized by the Inter-Parliamentary Union in collaboration with the United Nations, took place from July 29 to 31 in Geneva, Switzerland.
