Tehran: As many as 2,400 infrastructure and economic projects have been launched in Iran's southern Bushehr Province during Government Week, with a total investment of more than $13.06 billion, the provincial governor has announced.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Arsalan Zare, the governor of Bushehr, revealed that 205 economic projects account for over $13.06 billion of the investment and are projected to create employment for 6,900 people. He noted that investment in this year's Government Week projects has surged by 263 percent compared to last year, with employment opportunities having doubled.

Zare emphasized the provincial administration's commitment to augmenting infrastructure development, completing unfinished projects, and attracting additional investment. He highlighted that collaboration between government officials and local residents has facilitated the acceleration of development initiatives.

In addition to economic projects, a total of 2,195 infrastructure projects, valued at $1.3 billion, are ready for operation across Bushehr Province. These projects span crucial sectors such as education, housing, roads, ports, healthcare, agriculture, and tourism, thereby providing new infrastructure and public services for the residents.

Zare expressed gratitude to President Masoud Pezeshkian, his administration, and the people of Bushehr for their support and cooperation. He also conveyed optimism that enhanced coordination and joint efforts would further expedite development and improve public services throughout the province.
