Tehran: The media center of Iran's parliament has issued a strong condemnation of US President Donald Trump, accusing him of fabricating remarks made by Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf. The accusation claims that Trump has employed misinformation to obscure military defeats and mislead global public opinion.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the Iranian parliament's media center released a statement on Monday criticizing Trump's 'dirty media games' and the dissemination of false information regarding Ghalibaf's recent comments. The statement emphasized Trump's history of false claims, estimating that he has made around 32,000 misleading statements, and accused him of using fabricated news to distract from his military failures and to restore his reputation both domestically and internationally.

Iranian Parliament Speaker Ghalibaf had addressed a gathering of Iranian and Iraqi economic activists, highlighting the necessity of a joint plan to overcome economic sanctions and asserting that the US had been defeated militarily by Iran and Iraq. Ghalibaf emphasized the importance of economic collaboration and development as pivotal in winning the economic war against sanctions.

He clarified that while military power is significant, economic stability is equally crucial for national survival.
