Tehran: Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has expressed that Iran maintains a balanced perspective regarding the ongoing indirect negotiations with the United States in Oman. He emphasized that the country's industrial, economic, construction-related, and cultural affairs should continue independently of the talks.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Ayatollah Khamenei, addressing top government officials, stated that Iran is neither overly optimistic nor overly pessimistic about the potential outcomes of the discussions. He underscored skepticism towards the other party but expressed confidence in Iran's own capabilities. The Leader warned against the management approach during the negotiations that led to the 2015 Iran deal, advising against postponing progress in anticipation of the talks' results.
Ayatollah Khamenei pointed out that while Iran does not control the removal of sanctions, it can work towards neutralizing them. He highlighted the country's domestic capacity and various methods to achieve this goal, which would render Iran less vulnerable to sanctions. He noted that the initial stages of the current talks with the United States have been satisfactory and encouraged officials to continue with diligence.
